The Journey is Vital

Let's talk about something for a second: the journey

I often think, "at some point in my life, everything will be perfect." When I get my new blog finished, when I get settled in a college, when I decide my career and am a young professional twenty-something... Or maybe you think everything will be perfect when you find your soulmate and get married or start a family, or when you are able to retire. All of a sudden, we think everything will stop moving and we will dwell in this peaceful state forever.

Like the incredible song I posted yesterday, "there is no once and for all." Nothing is permanent. No state of happiness, no state of love, no state of tension, no state of anxiety. It is scary to think of yourself as never stationary; always pushing and moving towards something intangible.

I just want to say that we are going to be alright. All of us. Dreamers, Lovers, Fighters. I am going to stop worrying about the final outcome and start being thrilled by the journey. I am a part of all that I have met; every day, every step, every new experience and friendship. Thrilled

Life is too short to loose sight of the present and the journey is vital
Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to get off the computer and go play with my sweet dog.
