VCU

Headed to Virginia Commonwealth University in a few hours to see what the future holds for me.

Nervous out of my mind,
My brand new blazer from ZARA has a tear in it, so now scrambling to find something else to meet the Fashion Department Head in, joyous
Suddenly decided to contract a nasty case of horrible body image, equally as joyous
Annnnd I was going to post a picture but my blog is out of storage. Excuse me? But... Ugh

So... let's see how this goes.
Prayers would be appreciated.

The Journey is Vital

Let's talk about something for a second: the journey

I often think, "at some point in my life, everything will be perfect." When I get my new blog finished, when I get settled in a college, when I decide my career and am a young professional twenty-something... Or maybe you think everything will be perfect when you find your soulmate and get married or start a family, or when you are able to retire. All of a sudden, we think everything will stop moving and we will dwell in this peaceful state forever.

Like the incredible song I posted yesterday, "there is no once and for all." Nothing is permanent. No state of happiness, no state of love, no state of tension, no state of anxiety. It is scary to think of yourself as never stationary; always pushing and moving towards something intangible.

I just want to say that we are going to be alright. All of us. Dreamers, Lovers, Fighters. I am going to stop worrying about the final outcome and start being thrilled by the journey. I am a part of all that I have met; every day, every step, every new experience and friendship. Thrilled

Life is too short to loose sight of the present and the journey is vital
Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to get off the computer and go play with my sweet dog.

Trust.

Image from Post Secret

I do not know what I am going to do about college; I just have no clue. Nothing feels right, no decision gives me peace. Right when I was starting to accept the fact that I have to go to Kennesaw State I may not have to go and I just don't know. Every month my parents and I have the big college discussion and it always ends with something that sounds like, "we just have to trust God for the next step; not the whole picture." Yes. I know. Trust. Man makes his plans but God directs his steps. Right now I feel like my steps are leading me in circles.

"Humíllense, pues, bajo, la poderosa mano de Dios, para que él los exalte a su debido tiempo. Depositen en él toda ansiedad, porque él cuida de ustedes"
                                                                                                                                                                                            - 1 Pedro 5: 6-7

Humble yourself and He will lift you up in due time.

Those Crazy Cousins

Tonight I had the privilege of attending my cousin Kathy's One Year Transplant Survivor Party!!! She is truly a miracle for our family. It is great to celebrate her life and courage, but I also loved seeing all the extended family! It was a real treat since it's not a holiday. It just goes to show how much we love her, everyone drove to Atlanta and threw Kathy a surprise party at the Cheesecake Factory!

Here are some photos, although they mostly involve me entertaining my little cousins ;)

 There's the Survivor!!!

Just being silly :)
Family is all we have and I am so thankful for them.
How is March treating everyone?
I have some announcements to tell you. Sometimes this week, promise!

March Goals: Quality over Quantity

Instead of filling my To Do List up with fluff goals that it would be kinda sorta nice if I got accomplished, I decided to make my list shorter to include things THAT I MUST ACCOMPLISH. I am starting two businesses this month, more on that later, getting college sorted and paid for, finishing my art studio and kicking blogging up a notch.

I cannot stress how important March will be for my career as a stylist/blogger and for my future education. *Inhale *Exhale

Let's do this thannng.
I leave you with the song that I have been listening to non-stop since Wednesday.

Has the Spring weather made you feel like getting stuff done? Let me know what you want to do this month!
