Hello everyone! It's been a long time since I made the first post of a blog! I'm a little uncertain of what to say right now, but I guess I'll start at the beginning:
This is me, Anna. Nice to meet you! |
If you read the blog description at the top right, you know that I decided to take a break from formal education after my graduation from high school in May. If you didn't, it's all good. Basically, I came up with a list of goals for this year off (August 2011 - August 2012) and with the help of an 18 month calendar and the organizational abilities of my new MacBook, I am going to accomplish as many as ALL of them!
Your job is to help me help myself by just being here. This year won't be wasted, and with Mind the Gap I will be forced to hold myself accountable! Having said this, you don't have to be a follower or even read regularly, I'm just trying something new. If you want to be along for the ride, you're absolutely welcome to support and join me in my new adventures.
To help with organization of the blog and in my own mind, I divided these goals up into three categories: Mind, Body and Soul. Some of them are pretty self explanatory, others will need a lot of explanation, some are really private and I may not talk about often, if at all, and others are just silly little things I've always wanted to do. I'll explain more as we go, but for now, here they are!
That last one is the most important, but we can talk about that later. And that's about it for now!
Oh! Almost forgot, here are some things you should know about me:
~ Presently, I work at Forever 21. If you here me refer to "work" that is the glorious location I am speaking of.
~ I have a thing for mythology and naming inanimate objects. Don't judge me. So here is a guide for you. Artemis is my main blog, which you can look at by clicking here! Apollo is my gorgeous Olympus camera (get it? Olympus hehehe) and Adonis is my new MacBook. If you hear me refer to them, they aren't people.
~ My dream job is a Fashion stylist, at the present moment, but I am also taking this year to narrow down what I want to do. Graphic Design? Fashion Marketing? Literature? Directing? Photography? Old School Drawing and Painting? I don't know... yet
ROCK ON!
~ Anna
p.s. blogging is really fun, you should try it!
Editor's Note: My sister has approached me with the fear that some of my goals are "inappropriate" to talk about on the internet and I want to clarify. First of all, there are worse things on the internet than someone writing honestly about a goal! And secondly, I won't talk about them. SO don't worry about reading TMI! Just one day, you'll notice they've been crossed off the list. And that will be the end of that :) Thanks for reading! Haha oh this is so silly. I can't believe I'm doing this. I wonder if it will actually work?
