Sometimes

Things don't go according to plan.

You plan on being productive on your days off: assembling furniture, finishing your art studio and ordering t shirts, painting, working on blog layouts and exercising, hanging out with friends you dearly miss...

And all of a sudden, out of nowhere

You are flat on your back, passed out sick, literally lying for hours on the bathroom floor because you are too weak to move. That's been my life since Sunday night. I seem to be on the mend though, meaning I can sit up and type this.

But when that happens, you have to tell the perfectionist and Type A in you to be still and look sickness in the face and say a great big ol'

And go back to sleep. And deal with it another day.

College.

Best advice I've heard in a long time.

Going to the dream school in Richmond probably won't may not happen. But for right now, I'm just trusting and making the best of everything. If I end up staying in Kennesaw, I'm going to deal with it.

Welcome to the Class of 2016

"Dear Anna,
Congratulations and welcome to the VCUarts' class of 2016.

It is a pleasure to inform you of your acceptance into the Department of Fashion Design and Merchandising in Virginia Commonwealth University's School of the Arts for Fall 2012"

*Breathes sigh of relief*

Yes.
Thank you Lord.

Operation Revamp Art Studio

Is about to get real.

About to get my furniture assemble on! If you know me really well, or now if you just stumbled across my blog, you know that I love IKEA. I mean love. I go on my annual pilgrimage to IKEA Atlanta and at some point my mecca will be to the first store ever in ÄlmhultSmåland, Sweden. You laugh but it's going to happen.

I just love everything about the company; from the actual products, commitment to keeping costs low, and innovation, to their restaurant (helloooo swedish meatballs), decoration tips, and the fact that they have a children's play place inside the freaking store! SO COOL.

I also take one of these every year but I'm not showing you last year's because it's real embarrassing. You know, more embarrassing than having a borderline obsession with a furniture store. Whatever. Haters gonna hate. But just wait until you see my new art studio...

Typical...

Hope you liked the memories!
2011 Was a very, very good year. Maybe one of the best years yet? And I don't just say that every year, because I will be the first to tell you that 2009 and 2010 stunk big time. Taking this gap year certainly was the right decision for me and I am so grateful that I did it! You have no idea... haha!

I am particularly excited about what 2012 has to offer because a) I love even numbers and a whole year is beyond exciting for me, b) chances are I will probably go to college this year and I hear that is supposed to be a good experience ;) and c) I love where I am right now with my family, in both my workplaces and with my friends and I think and pray that things will continue to get better!
